National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) And National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is Australia’s first national scheme for people with disability.
It moves away from the previous system of providing block funding to agencies and community organisations, to give funding directly to people with a disability.
The NDIS provides reasonable and necessary funding to people with a permanent and significant disability to access the supports and services they need to live.
Who Is Eligible For The NDIS?
To access the NDIS, you need to have a permanent and signifcant
disability that stops you from doing everyday things by yourself. To be elgible for the NDIS you must be:
- Under 65 years old
- You must hold an Australian Residency in the form of Australian Resident or Australian Citizen or
- Have a permanent and significant disability
Our friendly customer relationship managers are able to help you navigate the NDIS.
